CTL Teaching Evaluations

The Center for Teaching and Learning provides custom online teaching evaluations for the Stanford community.

Our online forms allow your students to anonymously and individually provide feedback about how your course is going. You design your evaluation online, selecting from a range of templates or crafting your own set of questions. Evaluations can be tailored to use open-ended language very similar to our in-class small group evaluations, or to ask more specific questions about particular areas of the course.

Online forms preserve class time but can suffer from low response rates. To achieve a high response rate, we encourage you to send reminders to your students, and to let them know that their feedback is important to you. We recommend that you give your students a maximum of one week to fill out the evaluation.

At the end of the evaluation period, you will receive a PDF document with the verbatim, anonymous responses. CTL consultation is also available to help you interpret the feedback and put it to good use in your teaching.

Use our online tool to design your own teaching evaluation now. During the design process, you will need to tell us details about the class, the individuals being evaluated, and the questions to be asked.
