Thank you for your most recent posting (#852). I was excited to learn about the Wabash National Study and found valuable resources there.
My school, Virginia Wesleyan College, is currently contemplating converting to a 4-course 4-credit model from the traditional 5 course 3 credit model. While the Curriculum Reform Committee is excited about this proposed change, they provide no appeal to empirical research data to support their enthusiasm. Are you aware of the existence of any empirical investigation of the benefits of switching to a 4-4 system as a number of schools have done (e.g. GWU)? I think it would be a most welcome and timely topic for coverage by a future TP posting.
In the meantime, are you aware of where one my find case studies or empirical investigations of switching to 4-4?

Welcome to the Tomorrow's Professor Mailing List feedback. Please let us know what you like and don't like about the List, what you would like to see more, or less, of and anything else you think would make the List more interesting and useful to you.

Hello Mr. Reis,
I was just wondering is you had ever thought of making the listserve available as a RSS feed? Many information distributors are beginning to make the material available in this format. I have found that when my information comes through the feed rather than the listserve I am more apt to read it because I am not also trying to sift through the thousands of useless e-mail I get daily and also it keeps all of the information together. Just something to consider.
