Living In SynLiving in Syn is the guide to all things Synergy, distributed to new residents each year as an orientation packet. The first edition of Living in Syn was published in 1978. Most of the writing was by Kim Bancroft, who lived in the house at that time. Cover image was of a devil-figure roasting a tofu dog in the fireplace of the small living room of the original house on San Juan Ave. (image drawn by Gregor Clark, another resident of that time). Printing and binding was done by Up Press. The last pages of the first edition created some controversy with the University housing office since they discussed Ghosts, Stuffers, and Crashers. Since the housing office had subsidized the costs of production they were not happy to see this description of things that were at odds with housing office policy.
